Have you experienced dysphoria? A generalized dissatisfaction with life? Have you combatted said malaise with fanciful and metaphorical woolgathering that encircles being injured on the premises of a large conglomerate’s retail space…i.e. have you ever wanted to slip on a wet floor at Wal-Mart when they didn’t put a sign up? Have you ever quietly whispered simple orisons concerning 50 lb bags of dog food’s max velocity when tumbling from a high shelf whilst gaily walking down an aisle at PetsMart? Have you ever wanted to star in a LifeAlert commercial?
If you said yes to any of these questions…congratulations. You’re one of an elite few who will most definitely sacrifice their body for monetary compensation. You’re most likely quite excited then, about what I have to tell you. You also may be aware of the existence of a website that’s only a dedicated calculator, quantifying sums based on where you fell and what happened to you? Isn’t the internet great?!
Here’s the good news you bad news bears…SPACE JUNK!
The space people…nerds probably…are stating that there’s around a 10% chance someone on Earth could be hit by space trash in the next decade. Sounds painful. Looks a bit dicey too.
A satellite crashed in Guizhou, China.
But There is no information about which satellite crashed and when.
Some people said that it was a series of Long March 3 carrier rockets. pic.twitter.com/zwJM9gQmf2

Most put the number just a shade over 3/4’s of a million pieces of crap floating around in orbit. Think of it as God being a teenager, and space is their room, and you know what a teenager’s room looks like yeah? Smells like? Ok. Point made. There’s a lot of debris floating out there, a zero g landfill creating an incomplete cocoon of detritus, only there’s no caterpillar inside, waiting to complete the metamorphoses into a beautiful butterfly. No. It’s just more trash…
So heads up out there. It’s why I always say keep your head on a swivel. Don’t know if you can sue Russia/China/The USA for a hunk of space metal that cratered your begonia garden. Here’s hoping.
In the meantime, check out ways you can reduce trash here in Mesa County…with the great people who manage these things.
